So sorry to hear about your losses - and your health issues. The fact that you yourself have stuck with the game through everything you've gone through in the last decade (!) is reason enough for me to continue to wait.
Just make sure it's done by September so we have some time to play before the Mayan end of the world date comes up. Just in case. ;)

Glad to hear that life for you is beginning to get back to a semblance of normalcy. I can't help thinking ironically about the name of this game, and my years ago purchase of said game. :) I'll have to start playing the old ones again in preparation for the new.

Take your time. Unless I'm testing it, I dislike beta software.
But, maybe you could get it out before the world ends on December 21, 2012? :)

I'll wait— glad to hear it's almost on the final stretch! And if you need any extra beta-testers, I'll be happy to help.

Looks like 2012 is shaping up to be a great year and we're not even there yet!
Take care of you --- you are the only Cliff Johnson we have and without you we'll never know what amazing puzzles the Fool (and we) will face.

Is there any way to find out when we pre-ordered the game? Because I think it will be fun to tell people how long ago I pre-ordered it when I get it :-)
I hope you recover from your flu swiftly, and take it easy so you don't get sick again. :-)

Hey, independent games need a Duke Nukem Forever of their own... still looking forward to it!

I still have fond memories of The Fool's Errand. So I can wait. Feel better!

Condolences on your losses Cliff. Take care of yourself and thanks for the heads up... I've waited over 20 yrs for the return of the Fools Errand... I can wait some more.

Have a wonderful year ahead; I hope the game makes it out but take care of yourself first.

As always, it will ship when you say it's ready and not before. We've waited this long so get well, have a happy new year and good luck with the continued work!

Goodness knows I have enough games to keep me busy until such time Fool is released. :)
So sorry to hear about the losses in your family. I know how hard that is, and you have my condolences.
My family was hit by that snowstorm, too. Interesting, me sitting in Canada, watching on the tv about a huge snowstorm in NJ, when we had good weather. Rather surreal.
Feel better, and know that us true believers will wait as long as necessary for the game. We will be here!

The delay will just sweeten the suspense!
Take care of yourself and get strong and healthy again!
My wish for you is that 2012 proves to be a Happy, Prosperous and Healthy Year for you!

I don't know about the rest of your audience, but I'll be happy and completely absorbed in the game whenever it happens. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date.

Just thought I would point out that any future delays will put the release date perilously close to the end of the Mayan Calendar in December 2012. Hopefully, I will get a few days worth of The Fool and His Money before Armageddon. All the best on the ongoing development!

Hello Cliff,
Still here.
Still waiting…

It's done when it's done, and not a day sooner. Keep us posted on progress, and we'll all join you in celebrating the happy day whenever it arrives.

Get well soon. We are faithfully supporting you throughout this -- if nothing else, let that give you mental strength!

However long it takes you, I will be happy to wait. I LOVED your wonderful game. Take cheer and good spirits knowing that there are many who wish you well. May you have peace and contentment this next year, Cliff.

Thanks for the update.
Journeying around in Skyrim is keeping me busy and I have Battlefield 3 and MW3 to do as well.
However, I would gladly drop all these titles for more time with THE FOOL.
Hang in there and stay safe.

Thanks for the update, and glad to hear you are still here and moving towards completion despite all the various obstacles life keeps throwing in your way.
In other news, I have two next-generation Fools in development here (ages 2 & 4) and it will be another couple of years before they are ready to take on any of the Fools titles, so relax and take your time :-)
Looking forward to The Fool and His Money whenever it arrives (with the current world financial crises, I feel this has been one of my wiser investments over the past few years!)
All the best for 2012 and hope you're feeling better soon.

I'm sorry for such a rotten year! Here's to next year being so much better!

Hope you feel better soon mate, and that 2012 brings you better luck!
September will be here before we know it - and we can stretch out the anticipation a bit further! Have a great New Year and thanks for the update.

If it's not one thing, it's another; so went 2011 for you. I know there's an old saying that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but sometimes what doesn't kill you actually makes you feel like a piece of crap. I sincerely hope you emerge from your personal valley of the shadow of death in good enough shape to finish TFAHM.
(For the True Believers, 2011 was more like Zeno to Zeno....)
Best wishes for a healthier and happier new year, CLiFF.

You too Cliff! Oh and thanks so much for reminding me I bought it THAT long ago and aged a corresponding amount in the interim *groan*
get well and happy 2012.

Super flu is going around. Everyone I know myself included has come down with it or something similar and I can totally see the down time. The fool certainly has his work cut out for him. Don't let things like mother nature and acts of god stand in your way. Most important thing is that you get better. I would hate to see fool and his money actually take the record for longest wait for a game to be released witch is currently held by Duke Nukem Forever (which sadly took "Most disappointing game of the year" )
It sounds like your holidays haven't been so good :( Hopefully the new year makes up for it.

Thanks for the update! As always, I will be patiently waiting for whenever you are able to finish the game.
I take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2012!

Just get well and keep on trucking! That flu has us down here in Florida too. I don't think we understand what loss of family does to our brains. We had multiple losses and I found that my brain just would not work like it used to and there is no telling when things finally go back to working again. Be good to yourself. Fang the Wonderdog (at the Rainbow Bridge) and I continue to support your errand.

I will keep waiting. I just want to play the game.
Happy New Year

I definitely wish to continue to support the title.

when the going gets tough....!
Happy (almost) new year Cliff :-)
Cliff Note : When a situation is difficult or dangerous, strong people work harder to resolve the problem. This relies on a difficult play on words; it could be rephrased word-for-word as: "When the situation becomes hard, strong people start working."

Sorry for the losses in your family and the flu, get well, stay well and when FahM is done it will be done, the patient & faithful will wait and look forward to it. :)

Get well soon, and all the best for the new year. As big corporations such as Valve and Blizzard are fond of saying.. "it's done when it's done"
Keep up the good work, and at your own pace. Your game cannot benefit from beta release like minecraft etc, it has to be perfect, or pretty damn close

It's worth the patience for polish and unexpected life setbacks. My condolences on your 2011 troubles, it was a rough year for so many people I know.

I hope you feel better soon, It's not easy to work when you are sick. Hopefully this will be the last delay—we are all getting old fast, I don't want to miss this!

I suggest you take care of yourself before worrying about the game. You may be working too hard and have lowered your resistance so a ordinary virus has put you down for a month. For myself, I have no problem waiting and I think the overwhelming majority of others feel the same. Just get well.
All the best in the New Year.

I have no problem with waiting. Get your life on track again. Happy New Year.

I hope this email finds you in better health.
Take all the time you need to deliver a polished game, one that you will be proud to have your name on.
As an avid MMO player, the one thing I HATE more than anything else is saying: "didn't they test this thing???" when running into an obvious problem/oversight.
As a fan of Fool's Errand, I don't mind waiting, and I'm sure your other fans feel the same way.
Wishing you good health, and a new year without problems.

Money can not buy the dedication you have to completing this game.
Thank you again this year for your continued efforts!

Thanks for the update and get well, your health is more important than a game.

Cliff, thank you for the update, and get well. If I have waited 50 years, what's a few more months...
